summit with 2.422m, is located on the NW side of mountain Olympus over Kokkinopilos
The summit referred for the first time from the Swiss, topographer and mechanic, MarchelKurz who visited mountain Olympus and mapped the area.
The name of the summit probably was given in honor of Metropolitan KitrousNikolaos, who took act at the surroundings during the revolution of 1878.
The approach can be made from Kokkinopilos village via the E4
path, until you reach Kardara
col and then route to the summits Kardaras
(2.451m) and Flabouro
(2.473m), (14km / 5 hours hiking, the condition of the path is fairly well). Or again through the village and in about 2km we leave E4
path and start following the sings to Roudi
summit (2.422m), (6,5km / 3,5 hours, the condition of the path is fairly well).
